Panel 1: Welcome to Ghouls - Why Horror Matters More Than Ever

Why does horror matter to us? The ghouls team will discussing why the current world landscape is allowing us to use horror as a form of escapism.
Panel 2: Building a Community - Why Horror Brings Us Together
Time: 2pm - 3pm GMT
Horror is built on the foundation of community, and how fear brings us closer together. We’ll be talking to podcasters, film clubs, horror collectives and film festivals about why community is the backbone of what makes horror so special.
Panel 3: Are We Fucked up? Disturbing Films To Ruin Your Day
Time: 3.15pm - 4pm GMT
Discussion on the rising popularity and trend of ‘extreme’ and ‘disturbing’ films. Why are we so obsessed with morbid content? How does extreme tie into other film tropes e.g. New French Extremity and Found Footage? Then to share some of our recommendations aka Ghouls Iceberg
Panel 4: A Bloody Threesome - Ghouls x Not Another Teen Pod x Tainted Love

A threesome like no other – Ghouls will be hanging out with nostalgic teen podcast, Not Another Teen Pod, and horny & in love podcast, Tainted Love. They will be discussing LISA FRANEKENSTEIN!
Panel 5: Representation in Horror - The voices championing change

Horror is changing the way we understand different walks of life, and for the better. We’ll be discussing representation in horror from disability, to neurodivergency to ethnicity and race.

Virtual Panel: Working Class Representation in Horror
